Grŵp Llandrillo Menai joins as the newest member of Collab Group

Collab Group is delighted to announce that Grŵp Llandrillo Menai has joined as our newest member. Grŵp Llandrillo Menai is a large further and higher education college with campuses across North Wales. It employs 2,000 staff and delivers courses to around 21,000 students, including over 1,500 higher education students, across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd.

The college makes a fantastic addition to the Collab Group Network by expanding the geographical reach across North Wales and England, including Merseyside and the Wirral.

Like most Collab Group colleges, the Grŵp covers a full range of education from 16-18 (A level and technical education), adult education, HE (in partnership with Bangor University), apprenticeships, and corporate training.

The college also reports high levels of student engagement, with 98% of learners agreeing that they are on the right course and 96% agreeing that they receive useful feedback on progress.

The college strongly identifies itself with supporting North Wales's economy and has an excellent reputation with local employers and the wider community. The main sectors the college is engaged in are engineering, construction, hospitality and healthcare. They have strong long-term partnerships with, Siemens, Babcock (linked to RAF Valley), ARC and Innogy (a company engaged in wind power and renewables).

The college's inclusion significantly strengthens the Collab Group networks reach across a large and vital geographic region, and we are delighted to welcome them into the group.

Ian Pretty, Chief Executive at Collab Group, said: "We are delighted to welcome Grŵp Llandrillo Menai into the Collab Group network. The college has a fantastic reputation for providing high-quality education and training that is closely aligned to regional economy's needs. We are delighted to welcome Dafydd Evans and the wider college community into the group. We look forward to working together on the opportunities that lie ahead."

Dafydd Evans, Chief Executive of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, said: “We are very much looking forward to being part of the Collab Group, in particular the sharing of good practice and leadership development opportunities that it offers”.
