Talent

As part of the Collab Group Strategic Plan, we have set an objective to identify and develop future talent amongst our network of colleges.

Through this collective action we will enhance the capacity and capability of our colleges, especially the leadership skills of the next generation of our college leaders.

Overview

Talent is a key theme for Collab Group

Collab Group Colleges see identifying talent, bringing on talent and, retaining talent as critical both for individual colleges and the collective needs of all our colleges. Investing more in talent management is critical to our collective human resource management, leadership, and recruitment strategies. We have created a talent framework to support our thinking. We aim to have a collective focus on talent value identification to identify people to join our programmes.

Underpinning our talent framework, we have developed a Leadership and BAME Leadership programme to develop the next generation of talent in our colleges. Through this collective action, we will enhance the capacity and capability of our colleges, especially the leadership skills of the next generation of our college leaders.

College Leadership Programme

College Leadership Programme

As part of the Collab Group strategic plan, we launched the Collab Group leadership programme, which aims to develop the leadership skills of individuals who can become a CEO or Principal.

Through this collective action, we will enhance the capacity and capability of our colleges, especially the leadership skills of the next generation of our college leaders. This programme is therefore principally aimed at developing future talent that has been identified as having the potential to become a CEO/Principal.

College Black and Ethnic Diversity Leadership Programme

College Black and Ethnic Diversity Leadership Programme

Collab Group colleges are committed to making college leadership more representative of the colleges and communities they represent and have launched a BAME Leadership programme.

There remains a particular challenge with the representation of BAME people within the most senior levels of leadership in the sector, meaning too many colleges are not representative of the communities they serve. By launching this programme, Collab Group aims to remedy this systemic issue and break institutional barriers by creating opportunities for BAME employees to develop new skills and rise to senior management positions.

Developing BAME employees has the added benefit of raising the overall skill level of colleges. Therefore, this programme is principally aimed at developing BAME middle managers who have been identified as having the potential to become a CEO/Principal.
